Our interest in batik began in Washington, where we were blessed to meet a true batik master, our teacher, Jay Eckstrom of Barefoot Batiks.

Now we live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where the abundance of beautiful images has given us inspiration for the shirts you see on this web site. Designs like the Oso (bear), Kokapelli, Shaman, and Zia are definitive New Mexican symbols, drawing upon the bright color & spiritual aspects of this area.

Other designs, such as the Trout, Goddess variations, and Buddha Eyes stem from our personal hobbies & interests. And, the designs keep forming as we are inspired through our travels, hikes, and discussions with friends & customers.

We are experimenting now with the more traditional method of "over-dye" to create more abstract designs. This has proven to be a great challenge, as well as a ton of fun!

When we aren't up to our eyeballs in hot wax & dye, we escape to the Sangre de Cristos, or the various hot springs of the Jemez mountains with our friends. However, this past summer was a busy one for us, and work monopolized our attentions.

Before this wonderful "store" was opened for us by our great friends, Kathy & Alec - to whom we say "ThankYou" - you could find us at Trader Jack's Flea Market outside of Santa Fe. Unfortunately, that market might be closing down this coming summer.

So we are going to hit the road with our wares, travelling to art festivals & musical gatherings throughout the summer. We hope to list our locations and dates for you on the web site - so keep checking in for updates & new designs!
